On Saturday, February 25, 13 of the world’s best horses will go head to head in the sports Richest Horse Race, the 2023 Saudi Cup at the King Abdulaziz Racecourse in Riyadh.
With a record breaking purse of $20 million, the Saudi Cup has knocked out the Dubai World Cup, claiming the title of the World’s Richest Horse Race. Leading the pack is Taiba, trained by Bob Baffert and favored with odds of 15-8, perhaps in part to his victory at the Grade 1 Malibu Stakes.
His closest competition is last year’s Saudi Cup runner-up, Country Grammer, with 7-2 odds, who will be looking for redemption in this year’s field.
