The Philadelphia Phillies have re-signed Perennial quality pitcher Aaron Nola to a seven-year, $172 million contract.
Nola,30, has pitched for the Phillies since 2015, was thought to have been seeking a contract in excess of $30 million per year, but possibly gave up some money for a longer-term to stay with the only organization that he has pitched for. Nola was 12-9 was a 4.46 ERA in 2023 for the Phillies.
Lifetime Nola is a one-time All-Star and is 90-71 with a 3.72 ERA.
